Reselling White Label AI Competitor Monitoring

A podcast-style breakdown of how the reseller program works — pricing, positioning, and what a real path to $1K MRR looks like.

You wanted to work for yourself.
You didn't want to sell vitamins.

Here is exactly how the economics work, so you can decide with real numbers rather than a pitch. No inventory, no minimum commitment, and nobody takes a cut of what you sell.

What matters How it works here
How you find customers You sell directly to local business owners — cold email, referrals, demos. This is real outreach, and it is the part that decides whether this works.
Up-front inventory Zero. The software is the product.
What you pay us A flat monthly platform fee plus a per-client wholesale rate — from $29/mo per client, dropping as you add clients. Nobody takes a cut above that.
What you charge Whatever your market bears — typically $99–$499/mo per client. Every dollar above your wholesale cost is yours.
What you’re selling Daily competitor intelligence, delivered under your brand — something local businesses genuinely use.
Whose brand it is Yours. Your logo, your domain, your customers.
If you stop Your customer list is yours to keep, sell, or pause. No minimum commitment; cancel renewal anytime.

Who actually does this well

💻

The marketing freelancer

You already do social, SEO, or website work for 3–10 local clients. Add competitor monitoring as a $99–199/month add-on. Every existing client is a candidate. Path to $1K MRR: 8 existing clients at $149.

📈

The fractional CMO

You run marketing for a handful of companies part-time. Competitor intelligence is already part of the strategy you sell — now it's a branded, recurring deliverable that lands in each client's inbox daily under your name, not a one-off slide deck. Path to $1K MRR: 5 retainer clients at $199.

🤝

The natural connector

You light up at networking events, chamber-of-commerce mixers, and local trade shows. You can walk into a small-business expo with 200 vendors and leave with 30 demos booked. If "talking to strangers" is your superpower, this is built for you. Path to $1K MRR: 1–2 trade shows.

🏢

The career-pivot solopreneur

Maybe you left a corporate marketing job, or you're moonlighting from one. You know how businesses work, you have a network, and you'd rather sell to small businesses than another corporate buyer. Path to $1K MRR: 90 days of consistent outreach.

🎯

The natural seller

You already know how to sell — you just want the next thing you build to be actually yours: your brand, your customers, your domain. No purchase requirements, no minimums, nobody taking a cut of what you close. Path to $1K MRR: same selling skills, real product.

📍 Where you sell

Pick an area you actually know

Most resellers start with the businesses around them — the strip malls, dental rows, and restaurant corridors they already drive past. You know which places are busy, who just opened, and who is struggling. That local knowledge is the edge, and it is not something we can hand you.

Be clear about what you are and aren’t getting

We don’t sell exclusive territories, and we won’t pretend to. Another reseller can work the same area you do, and MyIntelBrief also sells directly to businesses everywhere, including wherever you choose to start. What you get is the software, your own brand on it, and your margin — not a protected market. If that isn’t the deal you want, this isn’t the right program, and it’s better that you know now.

📅 Small-business shows worth working — next 12 months

Real, currently-scheduled shows in the big convention cities: vertical trade shows packed with one type of owner (restaurant, salon, auto, car wash, contractor, pet, dental…), general small-business & franchise expos, and even 🎟 mega shows like CES — where a single badge puts you in a room with thousands of businesspeople to pitch. Each links to the show’s official site where we could find it; the tag shows the door policy where we could confirm it (many sell day passes — always check the show’s own registration).

The actual math

No hype, no "make $10K in your first week" promises. Here's what the numbers really look like.

from $29
wholesale per client / month — drops as you add clients
$99–499
typical reseller pricing per client / month (YOU set this)

You charge what the market bears. A dental practice that wants to know what their 5 closest competitors are doing every day will happily pay $199/month for it. A larger multi-location restaurant group might pay $499/month. You decide the price per client based on what THEY get from it. Your wholesale cost per client goes DOWN as you add clients — a straight volume discount:

Clients Your wholesale / client / mo
up to 10$29
11 – 29lower
30 – 75lower still
76+best rate (contact us)

Every client gets the full brief — the tiers set your volume price, not the features your clients receive. Your exact rate at each tier is confirmed when you start.

If you charge $149/client/mo You collect
1 client $149/mo
5 clients $745/mo
10 clients $1,490/mo
25 clients $3,725/mo
50 clients $7,450/mo

That's revenue collected, not profit. Subtract your wholesale cost per client and your monthly platform fee — see “Here's your breakeven, in plain numbers” below for what you clear and when.

The more clients you add, the less you pay per client — so your margin widens as you grow. You charge what your market bears; every dollar above wholesale is yours. You set client pricing as low or as high as makes sense for your market — small-town dentists may pay $99, big-city law firms may pay $499. We provide the daily briefings; you keep the relationship + the difference.

What your clients get

Under your brand, your clients get a daily intelligence brief showing what their competitors did in the last 24 hours. Pricing changes, new product launches, website updates, news mentions, review trends — all summarized by AI into a 5-minute morning read.

📊 Daily competitor briefs

AI watches your client's competitors every day and emails them a curated brief. Pricing changes, new pages, news mentions, review activity.

🏷️ Your brand, end-to-end

Your logo, your colors, your sending name. Briefs go out from a neutral domain we own — nothing on them points back to us. Your client portal lives on a branded subdomain (yourbrand.myintelbrief.com) today; sending from your own domain is available on request.

💳 You bill, you keep it

Bill your clients however you like — invoice, card, your own processor, whatever works. That money goes straight to you. You pay us only the wholesale rate via Stripe, based on the tier you pick per client. The difference is yours.

What the first 90 days actually look like

Days 1–7

Set up

Sign up, configure your subdomain + logo + colors (about 30 minutes), add a payment method for your wholesale billing, generate a sample brief for a local business you know. Walk yourself through what a client experience looks like.

Days 8–30

First 3 clients

Identify 30 local businesses you can reach (existing network, LinkedIn, local chamber-of-commerce list). Generate free sample briefs for the top 10. Reach out: "I made you a free competitor intel brief — would you like to see it?" Convert ~10% to paying customers.

If you're the outgoing type: hit a local small-business trade show, chamber-of-commerce mixer, or industry expo. One good show with 200 vendors typically yields 20–40 demo bookings if you can talk to people. Generate sample briefs on the spot from your laptop and convert 3–5 of those to paying customers in the same week.

Days 31–90

Scale to break-even

Refine your pitch based on what actually converted. Get to 3–5 paying clients. You're now break-even and learning what kinds of businesses resonate most. From here, growth compounds as you build a referenceable customer list.

A few honest things to know

  • This is not passive income. You'll need to actually sell — reach out to local businesses, set up demos, close deals. We give you the software; the customer acquisition is yours to drive.
  • Every client you add widens the gap. You pay a per-client wholesale rate that drops as you grow, and charge what your market bears — the platform fee is the part you clear first (see the breakeven note below). The math is simple from day one; the hard part is finding and signing that first client.
  • There's no recruiting bonus. We don't pay you for signing up other resellers. Your income comes from your own customers, period.
  • We have no minimum commitment. Cancel renewal anytime. Your customer list is yours; if you stop reselling our software you can take them to a competitor (or build your own).
  • Here's your breakeven, in plain numbers. On Pro + White Label at the founder rate ($209.99/mo) you clear your platform fee at 2 clients, charging a typical $149/mo against a $29 wholesale cost. At the standard rate ($419.98/mo, once the founder seats are gone) it's 4 clients. Below that you are paying to hold the platform — that's the honest downside, and it's why the first two clients matter more than anything else you do.
  • Sales tax is your responsibility, not ours. Most US states don't tax software-as-a-service sold to a business, but roughly a dozen do (NY, TX, WA, OH, PA, CT, RI, AZ, IL, MA, DC and a few others), and the rules change. Because you are the seller of record to your clients, any obligation to register, collect, and remit is yours — and it can be triggered by where your client is, not just where you are. We don't give tax advice; check your own state's current rules and talk to an accountant before you set prices.
