1. What We Collect
- Account data: Email address, name, and hashed password (or Google OAuth ID)
- Business data: Your business name, type, location, and the competitor URLs you monitor
- Usage data: Pages visited, features used, scan activity, IP address, browser/device type
- Payment data: Handled entirely by Stripe — we never see or store card numbers
- AI inputs: Your major concerns text and business details sent to the Anthropic API for analysis
2. How We Use It
- To provide competitive intelligence reports and email briefs
- To process payments and manage your subscription
- To prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access
- To send service-related emails (briefs, billing, security notices)
- To improve the Service (aggregated, anonymized analytics only)
We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for ad targeting.
3. Third-Party Services
- Anthropic: Your business context and concerns text are sent to the Anthropic API to generate intelligence. Anthropic's Privacy Policy applies.
- Stripe: Handles all payment processing. Stripe Privacy Policy.
- Google: Optional Google Sign-In (OAuth). Google Places API for local business lookup. Google Privacy Policy.
4. Data Retention
We retain your account data while your account is active. Intelligence reports and snapshots are retained for 90 days. You may request deletion at any time (see Section 6). Payment records are retained as required by law.
5. Security
Passwords are hashed using bcrypt. Sessions use secure, HttpOnly cookies. All traffic is encrypted via TLS. We use IP-based rate limiting and concurrent session controls to prevent unauthorized access.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your data — email us and we'll send a copy within 30 days
- Correct inaccurate data — update it in Account Settings
- Delete your account and all associated data — use the Delete Account button in Account Settings or email us
- Opt out of marketing emails — unsubscribe link in every email
California residents have additional rights under CCPA, including the right to know what personal information we collect and the right to non-discrimination for exercising privacy rights.
EU/EEA residents: we process your data on the basis of contract performance (providing the Service) and legitimate interest (fraud prevention). You have the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.
7. Cookies
We use one session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels.
8. Changes
We may update this policy. We'll notify active subscribers by email for material changes. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
